Learning Wwise with 101 and Cube - shotgun and shells only play in left speaker (mac)

Would anyone know what is causing this? Wwsie lets me set to stereo configuration, and then mono files do play in both speakers. However, once I launch the game to check my work the audio reverts to playing only in the left speaker. I'm running mac through a focusrite interface. Enjoying learning Wwise, and would love to resolve this issue so I can eventually implement my own sound design into these projects. Thank you.
