I am trying to create an event that will set a state for a slow time(matrix bullet time) type of effect that controlls the pitch of a bus. When I create a set state event in Wwise it seems as though I'm unable to attach any sort of Wwise object to the [missing] part of the Set State event. It seems logical that you should be able to just drag the actual state group from the game syncs tab over to the event, however that isn't working. I also tried manually browsing for the state group and it doesn't allow me to apply it to the event that way either.

You are right, this might not the the most intuitive.  Here is how:

  • Make sure the Event Editor height is high enough.
  • Click the Set State action in the event actions
  • On the lower pane of the Event Editor, use the 2 drop down in the Set State group box to select the state group and state
