Hi there,

Here's the puzzle:

  • A 'Random Container' holds 15 variations of "wood footsteps", set to Play Type Shuffle and Avoid repeating last 10.
  • Various NPC game characters plus the player character are supposed to use that Random Container, to make use of the Shuffle randomization across characters.
  • The sounds should respond to States in different ways depending on which character is using them. E.g. if it starts to get foggy in the game then all NPCs get lowpassed through a state, but not the player character.
  • In addition all characters have different properties like 'weight', which should modulate pitch, lowpass, highpass depending on which character is using the Random Container.
  • The NPCs should use the sounds as 3D positional sounds with 3D Attenuation. The Player character is supposed to be 2D.
  • Each character should use the sounds in a separate bus per character.

Perhaps anybody finds a clever and user friendly way to make this happen, including multiple surface types, action types, intensities, etc.
