I am wonder when the Unity integration tool for Wwise will be fixed for the Wii U? Since the update to Unity 5, the Wii U integration has had major issues. At first with 2014.1.4 & 5, just having the files in the project would cause building to fail from a huge memory leak issue. After the 2015.1 update, now adding the initalizer cause the build to stall in one place, but if you add a soundbank build crashes entirely from a memory leak issue and that is testing with a clean project with no events or tracks in the soundbank. I am just trying to get an idea if anyone is actually using the console edition of Unity before releasing an integration, or if someone is just assuming the public and the exclusive version are the same? Also, if there is any plans on actually fixing the Wii U integration before the public version of Unity hit's 5.2. I ask because I am wonder if I should just start using the audio engine build into Unity 5.

On the Unity WiiU forums, there is a thread talking about known issues (here: https://wiiu-developers.nintendo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=1519&sid=4e0bc7228476646fbdef0dbf2e0add38 ). The very first Unity 5 for WiiU known issue is that native plugins causes crashes. The Wwise integration is a native plugin, and so it will cause crashes.

Unfortunately, we have to wait for Nintendo and Unity to fix this issue before we can officially support Unity 5 for WiiU. In the meantime, please use Unity 4 for WiiU.
