Wwise 2024.1.3.8749.3557
Unreal Engine 5.5

Release platforms: Android | Apple/iOS | Apple/tvOS | Apple/macOS | Linux | Microsoft/Windows/Visual Studio 2019 | Microsoft/Windows/Visual Studio 2022 | Microsoft/Windows/Game Core

Hi folks,

So I'm working on a game and we have one Linux user on the team (the rest of us are on Windows). Unfortunately for some reason the Linux dev can't hear audio in-engine, everyone else can so we're thinking this is Linux-specific.

My current suspicion has to do with soundbanks. I've selected Linux as a release platform both for the Wwise project and in our license, but for some reason I'm not getting the option to make Linux soundbanks. I don't mean they throw errors when created or the button doesn't work, I mean there is no trace of even the word "Linux" in the project settings, soundbank editor, or folder hierarchy. I've dropped as many relevant pictures as I can think of into this drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1fEZ4yyu1Ft3XfV2dCmzOx8TY8bdmqMO_?usp=drive_link

I would greatly appreciate any assistance you have to offer smiley

Hi Tomas,

Based on the provided screenshots, it looks like you haven't added the Linux platform to your Wwise project. To do this, go to the Project menu in Wwise Authoring and open the Platform Manager. From there, you can add the Linux platform.

You can also refer to this lesson that covers the topic:
