if i try to open a .bnk i am told "the project has been saved with a more recent version" but only used the latest ver

if i try to open a .bnk i am told "the project or one of the work units has been saved with a more recent version of wwise, and can't be opened"

i have only ever used the latest version of wwise.

i tried uninstalling everything and starting over, restarting pc ect

 

There is no good reason to make me wait over an hour to post a question.
Im getting bizarre errors, i even tried this on my laptop with the same issue.
my teammate is getting errors.

We are switching to FMOD. feel free to never approve this question, hmph
