SetBusConfig cannot modify master bus speaker configuration, it is dictated by the audio hardware.

This error originates from AK::SoundEngine::SetBusConfig and indicates that the audioNodeID parameter points to a Bus that is a Master Bus (top-most level in the hierarchy). Master Busses take their speaker configuration from the hardware they output to.

Recommended resolution steps:

  • Only provide Bus ID that is a child bus. Validate with the bus structure in your Wwise Project.

  • Check for a typo in the name/ID of the bus.
