We’re Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Wwise, and We’re Getting Loud(er)!

Community & Events

It’s simple. We want to thank you for all your trust and continued support, and for sharing your passion with us so openly over the past decade. So, we’re launching a blog for you ladies and gents! Our intention is to bring you the most up-to-date news, tips, guest appearances, product updates, and tutorials - all meant to enhance the Wwise experience and share our communal passion for immersive and interactive audio. Let us know what you would like to see!

Audiokinetic Ten Year Anniversary

10 years later, and we’re still experimenting with interactive audio! We’re obsessed. However, without you, we could not have accomplished all we did. We’ve shared many nerdy and certainly animated conversations with you during our industry conferences, tradeshows, Wwise events, and independent sessions around the world. And you’ve undeniably inspired us towards building the finest of interactive audio engines, plug-ins, and tools!

10,000+ users

1000+ studio partners (AAA, AA, & Indies)

500+ titles in development with Wwise per year

100+ academic institutions teaching Wwise

Gaming is our primary focus and source of inspiration, and what we’ve developed together has allowed us to embark on other grounds where interactive audio will thrive. Various use cases for AR/VR are at the cusp of manifesting more engaging storytelling through interactivity; we’re talking about storytelling like it has never been experienced before! This is the generation who will elevate video game making in its entirety while it continues to become recognized for its remarkable impact across sectors and within our daily lives, as well as unanimously appreciated as a form of art by the general public.

From our vantage point, the future of our industry and next generation of sound designers, composers, implementers, and programmers, is bright and loud; an augmented reality where every audio artist and programmer with experience in the interactive business will be cheerfully busy and employed!

“This is the generation that will elevate video game making in its entirety while it continues to become recognized for its remarkable impact across sectors and within our daily lives, as well as unanimously appreciated as a form of art amongst the general public.”

We’re excited about spending more time together, cultivating our industry and collaborating to enhance our immersive audio reality. To our collective great future, and long live interactive audio!

We hope you'll subscribe to our blog and join us for the next ten years!

Martin H. Klein, Simon Ashby & the Audiokinetic team.
