This documentation explains how to create compelling VR audio experiences in Unity or Unreal using Wwise as the audio engine. It provides details on every step of the process: from setting up a Wwise project with the Meta XR Audio SDK plug-in to integrating the Wwise project into your game.
This guide focuses on the Meta XR Audio SDK plug-in for Wwise and is not a Wwise tutorial. If you are a new Wwise user, see Wwise Fundamentals, the Wwise Help, and the Wwise-101 video series. For more information about integrating Wwise into Unity and Unreal, see Wwise Unity Integration and Wwise Unreal Integration.
By the end of this document, you will be able to:
Download and install the Meta XR Audio SDK for Wwise.
Get spatialized audio and room acoustics from the Sink Plug-in.
Adjust spatialization parameters for each sound source.
Adjust the room acoustics origin, the size of the room, room materials, and clutter settings.
Play ambisonic audio.
