◆ AdjacentRoomBleed

AkReal32 AkPortalParams::AdjacentRoomBleed

A scaling factor that manipulates reverb send values. AkPortalParams::AdjacentRoomBleed affects the proportion of audio sent to the adjacent room versus the proportion sent to the emitter's current room, for this particular portal. This value is multiplied by AkSpatialAudioInitSettings::fAdjacentRoomBleed, which is used to scale reverb bleed for all portals. When calculating reverb send amounts, the portal's aperture is multiplied by AdjacentRoomBleed, altering its perceived size:

  • 1.0 (default): Maintain the portal at its true geometric size (no scaling).
  • > 1.0: Increases the perceived portal size, allowing more bleed into adjacent rooms.
  • < 1.0: Decreases the perceived portal size, reducing bleed into adjacent rooms. Valid range: (0.0 - infinity) Note: Values approaching 0 may result in abrupt portal transitions.
