Iterative cooking is not supported in 2023.1. However, it is supported in the 2024.1 version of the Wwise Unreal Integration in combination with Unreal 5.5 and higher. If iterative cooking is a requirement for your project, consider upgrading to Wwise 2024.1 or any subsequent version.
For more information on iterative cooking in Wwise 2024.1, see Known Issues (2024.1).
Wwise 2023.1 does not support Multi-Process Cooking in Unreal. If the option is enabled, Wwise will not be cooked in the build. To disable the option in Unreal, set CookProcessCount to 1. For more information, see Multi-Process Cooking.
Version 2024.1 of the Wwise Unreal Integration supports Multi-Process Cooking. If Multi-Process Cooking is a requirement for your project, consider upgrading to Wwise 2024.1 or any subsequent version.
The Wwise Unreal Integration partially supports the -nothreading
Unreal command-line parameter with the following limitations:
-nothreading
is set.Minimal testing has been done in No Threading mode, and it is therefore not appropriate for production environments.
In addition, we recommend that if you run -nothreading
, you also run -nosound
to completely disable the Wwise sound engine.
