What's inside the free sample?

This free collection showcases two of the seventy subprojects that demonstrate the versatility of Strata's Physics collection, whose unique design draws from video game sound design technique of a physics matrix to determine collision sounds based on objects, surfaces, and their physical attributes. In this collection, each collision sound is crafted using a layered approach, where two distinct components - an "object" and a "surface" - play simultaneously.  And all these components are available to you in Strata's unrivalled multitrack format - complete professional multitrack REAPER projects, with clips, tracks, unrendered effects, and source files at your fingertips. Strata's approach lets you mix, match, and tweak to your taste, giving you total creative freedom - something traditional sound libraries just don't offer.

Inside the sample, you'll have access to 137 Ceramic (object) and 144 Concrete (surface) multitrack collision sounds to power your physics matrix. That's 281 unique sounds that cover the range of types and forces of different collisions for the object and the surface involved, for over 19,000 dynamic combinations! This approach, of playing the two sides of a collision simultaneously, allows for the dynamic creation of sounds at runtime with the game engine providing information about the collision, to choose the combination of sounds. This efficient & flexible approach means that instead of creating 19,000 unique sounds, one only needs 281, to create the runtime variations you need.
